Greetings, friends. So nice of you to take the time to join me. Relatively short post this week. Just wanted to share with you that after three months of hard work editing and preparing the book cover, the second installment in the Bluegrass Files, Twisted Dreams, is on its way. I received the physical proof just yesterday. Give me another two weeks to get it through final edit and by late August it should be available on Amazon, both as a paperback and an ebook. “Two weeks to read your own book?” you may ask. Well, when you are forcing yourself to read slowly by pointing at each word with a pencil as you read it, yeah it will take two weeks!
Just a few thoughts to share with anyone who is interested. First, it was, once again, my creative team, Kristin and Logan Morford, who produced the images for the second cover. Second, if you ever need any computer-based graphic design done, my friend Olivia, who lives somewhere in Ukraine, is available to you on a website called Fiverr. Excellent, excellent work at incredibly low prices. Third, if you’ve ever thought about writing and independently publishing your own book . . . you’d better have a lot of free time on your hands!!!
Nonetheless, it has been a great joy and a great journey getting this far in the process. An extremely well-received first book, more sales than the average Indie book, and a second one just about ready to release. (Also, a third already written and ready for a few months of editing.) Gee, and it’s only taken three years. What a breeze!
One last bit of good news, especially for those of you from right here in Lexington. Down the Rabbit Hole will soon be available at Joseph-Beth Booksellers. Twisted Dreams will be available at Joseph-Beth shortly thereafter, though I’d much rather have you join me at the book launch so I can thank you personally for your support. More news on that front as it firms up.
Once again, thanks for stopping by.
