Thanks so much for checking in. It’s been a pretty great week. First, and this is really a big deal for me, I have received the first professional review of my book, The Bluegrass Files: Down the Rabbit Hole. I’ll just give you a little hint: It got more than three stars, but less than five (you’ll have to do the math yourself.) It included words like, “ . . . the book was full speed ahead of Kentucky action with hints of humor for a story I could not put down.” You’ll have to guess for yourself how I feel about those sentiments.
Also this week, thanks to the help of my dear friend Carolyn Austin at the Lexington School for the Recording Arts, my website has gone “live.” It’s still a work in progress, but it already has some information on the book as well as the beginnings of a pretty cool sub-section called, My Kentucky. My close friend Walt Roycraft, a professional photographer, has submitted the first in a series of “stills” that capture the essence of Kentucky, Lexington, and the Bluegrass in particular. I will be filling out that section with great photos in the hope that visitors from all over the country who visit the site may see why so many of us who live here have fallen in love with this beautiful little part of the world in which we live. I’d love it if you checked out the site.
